God’s Love Is All Around: A Book to Help Children See His Love in Their Everyday Lives

Have you ever had one of those moments when you felt God’s love so clearly, it was undeniable? Maybe it was in the warmth of a hug from a loved one, the breathtaking colors of a sunset, or the kindness of a stranger at just the right time. These moments are everywhere, and they’re meant to remind us of one powerful truth: God’s love is all around us.

That truth is what inspired my newest book, God’s Love Is All Around. As a children’s author, I know how important it is for kids to feel seen, valued, and loved. But more than that, I want them to recognize that the most powerful being in the universe loves them personally. And He shows them that love in so many ways.

What Inspired This Book?

Children (and let’s be honest, adults too) can be so hard on themselves. We’re quick to forgive others but often struggle to extend that same grace to ourselves. I wanted to write a book that would help children see themselves the way God does—as precious, loved, and filled with divine light.

The idea for this book came from the simple but profound thought that God’s love is woven into everything around us. It’s in the gentle waves that lap at the shore, the laughter of a child, the animals He created to bring us joy, and most importantly, in each of us. I want children to know that every time they feel the urge to do something kind or good, that’s God’s love working inside them.

My Favorite Part of the Book

There’s a moment at the very end of the book that gets me every time. It reads:

Do you know where else you can find God’s love?

God’s love is found in YOU—

in your goodness, your kindness, and the warmth of your smile.

Thank you for being a special part of my life.

Thank you for showing me what God’s love feels like.

Every time I read those words, I think of someone in my life who has shown me God’s love. A friend, a family member, a teacher, even a stranger who offered a kind word at just the right time. And I hope that as children read this book, they’ll think of those special people in their own lives too.

A Writing Journey Filled with Divine Guidance

Every book I write is special, but this one felt different. From the moment I started putting the words together, I felt like angels were guiding me. The message came so clearly, and I knew it needed to be shared. I believe with all my heart that God wanted this book to be written.

I’ve written many books, but only one other is faith-based (I Am a Precious Child of God). As my author journey continues, I see more and more how God has led me to this moment. He gave me this path, this passion, and this opportunity to share His love through stories. And for that, I am so grateful.

What I Hope Children and Families Take Away

More than anything, I want children to feel God’s love in a deeply personal way. I want them to recognize that they matter to Him. That they are never alone. That He loves them beyond measure.

I also want parents to have a tool to help their children notice the little ways God shows His love. Whether it’s through the beauty of nature, the warmth of a hug, or the peaceful feeling in their hearts when they pray, His love is there. Always.

A Personal Reflection

As a mother, I see God’s love every day in my own children. They make mistakes, they learn, they grow—just like all of us. And when I extend patience and kindness to them, I’m reminded that God does the same for me. He is infinitely loving, endlessly patient, and always near.

Celebrate this love in ways both big and small.

The greatest expression of God’s love was shown through the birth of Jesus Christ and the gift of salvation He brought to the world. His birth is the ultimate reminder that God is always with us, and His resurrection is the promise that we can enjoy His love forever. Because of Jesus, we can live with joy, hope, and the assurance that we are never alone.
